Parade 4 / 5

The 4th of July is always a hot one for us in Flagstaff...

so the parade usually has some water gun totin'

individuals happy to help cool you off - the thing is...

some of the spectators have begun arming themselves

as well... and thus begins the Super Soaker War of 2017

Drôles d'engins sur la première photo, je ne connaissais pas.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: It is unusual - and great fun!

Always nice when there's interaction between the participants and the watchers!! Looks like everyone is having great fun.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: We know how to have a parade! smile

This is giving a bit of the idea of the water pistal madness to infects the whole population of Thailand for the week of the Songkran festival every year, Elizabeth.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: They're a lot of fun on a hot day!

I've seen those crazy pedal rings before but I can't think where. Did you have your water cannon ready? The Germans enjoyed using theirs during the G7 discussions. Not in the delegates though - unforunately smile
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: There are a couple in town here - they use them for bar crawls downtown. Gets pretty rowdy - which is great fun for those of us watching them go by!
Funny comment about the G7! smile

Everybody's smiling, that's good..
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Oh yeah - great fun! Of course, I always try to catch the first half of the parade before everyone is too hot, too tired, too bored... smile

It must be a very great pleasure!
Alan knows more about the Germans than me, he might think of the terrible protest actions.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: A lot of fun!

There will always be those... :-(

All jolly fun eh.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Oh yeah!
that is quite a jumble of legs in there, Elizabeth. good that you do not have a squirt from the water pistol!
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: They all have to peddle in unison or they don't get anywhere! No - I didn't get squirted!!
That's a new one on me. Some clowns have them at parades but I've not seen spectators into it.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Well... this is the wild west, you know, Mary! smile
If only water guns were the only ones the NRA was in favour of sad
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Dream on, Bill!

Now this really would get the kids going I should think.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Oh it does! smile
Is that vehicle legal! ?
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Technically, it's a push cycle... no motor - all human powered!
water from the crowd.

with all our heat don't think this would be allowed here in Athens.

In Bangkok I remember parades or festivals where the viewers along the road throw water at the bike riders and it can become very dangerous
