Caturday

Beautiful Butterscotch Bella and her Bald Belly

Bella Boop recently had an ultrasound to try to sort out some digestive issues.

It wasn't conclusive whether or not she has some form of cancer, or just an

inflammatory condition - but it appears to be long standing.  I don't want to

put my 13 year old lovie through surgery to biopsy it... so we're just going

to feed her some very expensive, limited ingredient food and hope it will

keep her happy and comfortable for many years to come.  Fingers crossed.

I hope she is ok, Elizabeth.

Love the spots in her skin.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Me too, Ray - time will tell.
I didn't know her skin was spotty until this! smile
Poor Bella..:-( Her back legs look ridiculously long here! She seems to have been ok so far smile
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: She doesn't seem to know... fortunately.
Her legs do look long in this pic! Funny!
La pauvre, j'espère que cela ira mieux.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you, Martine - me too!

Oh, my best wishes for her - here she looks content and okay.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you, Philine! She does seem to be doing alright most of the time

I am with you on that, Elizabeth
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you, Lisl!
Sometimes senior cats do not absorb foods as well. I'm sure they tested her kidney function too. That is how Bella and Kenz failed.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Yeah. She has some thickening of the colon walls... so either long standing inflammation, or something else. So far she's doing better with the food change. Her kidneys are doing fine right now...

Ah, poor Bella. Let's hope that the food does the trick. Even just getting a cat to the vet can be stress for the cat and especially the owner! She appears to have the legs of a kangaroo here; short front legs and long front legs. smile
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: She's doing a little better now.
Oh - and Bella is the worst! The moment she's put in her carrier she starts SCREAMING, and rolling around like she's in a washing machine!
Bangles do have longer rear legs - giving them a sloped look when their standing on all 4's - but the angle on this seems to exaggerate that!
