I always think of paddle-steamers on a river when I see swans, Elizabeth.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: smile I understand!

I love swans and these are beautifully captured.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you, Beth! I actually saw this in my head, when they were at the other end of the lake - when it looked like they were going to swim toward the bridge I ran to try to get that top shot with the bridge in it!
How serene and utterly peaceful, Elizabeth!
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: That's just how it felt, Ginnie!

Great pictures and I think the bottom one is my favorite. Do I see correctly more swans in the background??
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you, Philine! Yes - there were swans, ducks & geese!

The most graceful of birds.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Aren't they, though?!
Un animal vraiment très photogenique ....Bravo pour tes photos

When you have a swan in the picture, the whole picture turns to a restful one.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Isn't that the truth?! Thank you, Louis!
A fine pair of snaps E
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you, Bill!

Looking very regal - I love the way you have captured all the rippling too.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thanks so much, Anne! Swans always make a good photo, I think - they are so elegant!
These are rather nice Elizabeth, is Stanley Park somewhere near your English home?
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you very much, Brian! Yes - within walking distance!
You captured them well, Elizabeth, worth the effort. smile
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you, Frank! I appreciate that - nothing worse than envisioning something then failing miserably... smile

Nicely-composed shots of these swans under the bridge! I love the balustrade of the bridge as well.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thanks so much, Steven! It's a really lovely park near our English home in Blackpool. You don't know anyone looking to buy, do you? We're trying to sell the house, and Frank's stuck over there until we do!
Really fine colors...
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you kindly, Larry!
Love that top shot. The famous Vancouver park is also Stanley Park.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you, Mary! I remember that!
