Absolute fabulous colours and those reflections are great.
Bottom picture: he sure has an eye on you... it always tickles me that they can stand on one leg that long.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you, Astrid! They are such elegant creatures! And yes - I just love seeing them on one leg like that! Happy Birthday!
Double the pleasure, double the fun! smile But can YOU imagine having a neck THAT LONG????
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: That's right - we all need a partner in crime - as you well know!
I wouldn't know what to do with a neck that long!
Speaking of necks - I always think of the line in My Big Fat Greek Wedding... when the daughter wants to go to school, her dad doesn't want her to. She says "But Mom, Dad is the head of the house.." and Mom says "He may be the head... but the wife is the neck that turns the head where she wants it to go!"

They have such beautiful colours. I love the reflections on the water but they look as though they are sleep walking. Oh to have their flexibility!
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: I could watch them for hours! They are so elegant! I'll work on my flexibility...

The flamingos are acrobats.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: That's a perfect descriptor for them!
I love the way they stand on one leg like that
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: I do too! Such balance!
Love this post. Reminds me of my syncro swimmer granddaughter - in pink.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you, Mary! I'm glad I could give you a warm fuzzy thought!
I love that top picture, you timed it just right for this shot.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you, Brian! They don't move very fast, so that helps!
Oh, good one young lady! Great with the reflections, they are fun to photograph.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you kindly, young man!! They are, indeed - I could watch them for a long time! XOX
