At the Yorkshire Sculpture Park...

This little girl was intense - she walked around this piece

and photographed it with her phone from every possible

angle, just about.  She was such fun to watch!   I've no

idea who created these two very large pieces.

Photography is now as accessible as pencil drawing...exciting times for this artform.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Yes - there are pros and cons to this...

This is adoring. I like the way the little girl is so intense. Great pieces of art too...
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you, Astrid! Yes, she was very serious!
I have a feeling YOU were part of her inspiration, Elizabeth! She also lends perfect scale to this piece of art.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: I dunno... but she was great fun to watch!

This is an amazing piece of artwork. Her phone matches the sculpture
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: It certainly must have taken some time! I hadn't noticed that before!

The colourful sculpture could be by Niki de St. Phalle.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Had to look him up! And I see what you mean!
Impressionnant travail de sculpture !!
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: They are so LARGE!

Let's hope that the hill goes on to enjoy something from her activities. Her inclusion gives scale to the colourful piece.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: That would be fitting!

C'est facile maintenant de photographier avec son téléphone. Surprenantes sculptures.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: It is - and I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing...

Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thanks so much, Lisl!

This sculpture looks a lot like those featured by Ginnie, many years ago when she was living in Atlanta. I believe the sculptures she showed was also in Atlanta.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Yeah?! I'll have to look back through her archives - it was before I joined SC!
I like the glass mosaic one very much.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: It was quite detailed!
Whata nice picture, good to see youngsters starting taking photos at an early age. As for the sculptures, I like the colour scheme but I'm not sure quite what they are supposed to be.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you, Brian! I am pleased to see young photographers... not young posers. The narcissistic selfie culture has produced a lot of children who constantly have the camera on them and learn to pose and pout at a frighteningly early age. I didn't see this girl take a single selfie. The sculpture had a head with a single eye and no other features. I found it creepy - so I kept the shot to the body which was very colorful! And the rabbit was cut in half - and bolted together with space between. Weird!
Everyone is taking pictures these days. Some of them are even in focus grin
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Yes - As I said to Brian - I didn't see her take a single selfie - so I'm happy about that!
Great shot, Elizabeth.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you, Tom!
