This Green and Pleasant Land

Flying into Heathrow, a tip of the wings gave me this lovely view!

My flight was late, which meant I missed my connecting flight to

Manchester - but I got there safely, just a few hours late, and

began a wonderful week in Blackpool with the Love of my Life!

So sorry I've been MIA on SC...  had a rough re-entry...

Back stateside once again, and missing my Man.

C'est un superbe paysage vu d'en haut.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Isn't it, Martine - I love aerial views!

Sweet aerial view here, Elizabeth.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thanks, Ray - I was happy the pilot banked at just the right time!

What a beautiful view - so very green.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Much like your area, I'd imagine!
Nothing like England, Elizabeth, from land or air! Now that you are back stateside, without your man, please be kind to yourself.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: It has some magic, doesn't it?!
Thank you, Ginnie - I will try. Right now I'm up too late because I don't want to go to bed. Bella's quite snuggly - but it's not the same. Frank always says night time is the worst. Nothing like falling asleep in the arms of your love... and nothing like laying awake without him there... Oh booo hooo smile

I always like these areal views and I am glued to the window. I know it is hard to leave this country and be back 'home alone'....
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: I do, too, Astrid! Isn't the world wonderful from great heights?!
It is always so difficult to say goodbye - we're getting really sick of it!

Oh yes, the undulating, hedged English landscape! I like to join Ginnie's wishes.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: I know you love it, too!
Thank you very much, Philine. These goodbye's are very wearisome. We just try to look forward...

Interesting. This might be somewhere near us if you're flying in from the west..
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: I wondered - yes, we were coming in from the west! So it's quite possible!!

A view I love seeing; my first glimpse of the green fields, the hedge rows and the trees is always as a joy. A shame that you missed your connecting flight; how long was the scheduled connecting time supposed to be?
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Isn't it wonderful, Alan! Your little island country is such a magical place!
My connection was only 2 hours - I'd have made it if my Phoenix flight hadn't been delayed by an hour and a half... But they were good, and got me a seat on the next Manchester flight without fuss. I got there safely is the important thing, I suppose! smile
Glad you are home safe. I was beginning to wonder where you had got to
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you, Bill! It was a rough week. But there comes a time to pull yourself up by your boot straps and carry on!
It does look really lovely from this height when there is no cloud Elizabeth.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: The best view I've had flying into England! We flew right up the River Thames - I could see the London Eye, The Tower Bridge, Buckingham Palace... it was wonderful!

Like Chris, I think this could be local - we might even have walked down there! Sorry to hear that you are back home and having to wait for Frank perhaps longer than you thought
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: You may be right! I wish I knew the exact flight path - it's hard to tell!
Thank you... It's not a perfect world, is it. We try to remember how lucky we are just to have found each other... but I pray we'll be together soon.
You certainly got the green and pleasant!
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: It was a wonderful view!
A lovely shot Elizabeth, I hope, when you looked down, you felt you were arriving at your second home country because we do have such beautiful countryside, oh and a beautiful man waiting of course.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you, Brian!
England is becoming more familiar... but hasn't lost it's magic! Perhaps because of that beautiful man! smile
A treat of a shot for me. I love aerial scenes.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you, Mary ! I do, too!
I was thinking of you while over there - and hoping you'll be able to make arrangements to join us all next September!

I love these aerial views. Can't wait to get down there.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: I do too, Louis! I can't sleep on the plane if there's daylight and a window seat!
I am amazed the airlines don't charge a fee for inflight pictures...
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Shhhhhhh!!!! Don't give them any ideas!!!! They charge for everything else! On the way home - I had a 5 1/2 hour flight from Philli.... If you wanted a meal you had to buy one!!! No in flight entertainment. No blanky... Pwah!

Always enjoy aerial shots...this one's very special.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: I do too, Bonnie! Thank you!
