Rollerskates really got rolled by new-tech, didn't they, Elizabeth.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: It seems so.... but I'll always have fond memories!
i like the hair/ponytail flying past, Elizabeth. and i liked your multiple angles on this well sculpted piece.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thanks Ayush! I really liked this statue! There were actually three kids, and this girl was in the lead... I think Frank got better photo's than I of the other two.

The motion of the skater is well captured on this piece. On one of our sys in Scottsdales, I bought a pair of roller blades, never having ever mastered roller slates. It seemed fine on the nearby bike path that ran through the flood route but were completely useless on my local parks where the paths were too rutted with poor surfacing and too much debris on them from the trees. Plus I was not good on downhills and I ended up with too many ripped shorts and ripped backsides smile
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: I think I remember you mentioning that, Alan! They're not easy to get on with sometimes.
I had forgotten that song Elizabeth. A jolly sculpture.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Good one isn't it... both the song and the sculpture! smile

Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you, Piline - I really liked this!
A particularly fine action bronze
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: I think so, too, Martin! Thank you!
I like this so much as I have a great nostalgia for childhood.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: I'm so glad, Mary! Thank you!
Great sculpture isn't it. I never could get on with skates when I was a kid.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: I sure like it, Brian! I really enjoyed skating!

Well that song's a blast from the past!
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: I always thought it was pretty fun!
Nice bit of street art.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: I really like it, Tom!
I am the only person I know who likes Melanie. I have one of her albums and still dig it out now and then
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: This is the only song I know of hers... I like it!
