The Cougar is magnificent, Elizabeth, as is your image of it.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Isn't he wonderful, Ray! This artist does really great work - he gives big cats, wolves and coyotes such dignified beauty

On dirait un vrai animal. J'aime moins la deuxième statue.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Yes, the Mountain Lion is very well done isn't it! The second statue is - well, perhaps an acquired taste! smile

These are two incredible statues and the above picture looks so alive and that gallery, now that is something else.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Ken Rose does an amazing job of showing off our native animals!
It's hard to believe the top image is a bronze sculpture, Elizabeth, instead of wood. WOW. What a gift. The second image might appeal to Princess Leia fans???? smile
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: I am just in awe of his talent, Ginnie!
I'm not sure who that lower image appeals to... That gallery had some other outdoor sculptures that I liked - but they didn't allow photography.

The cat image is very powerful and lifelike
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: And it's life size - which makes it even more impressive!
Merci pour le contraste entre ces deux sculptures , J'aime beaucoup la première
La deuxième moins du fait de l'expression sur les visages ..
Merci pour cette belle découverte
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: I definitely have a preference for the first, Claudine! Thank you for looking in!

The first sculpture looks very lifelike- I don't want to meet this animal in reality.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: It's beautifully done, isn't it!
Unlike bears... Mountain Lions recognize and do not like even the sound of a human... they avoid us when they can. It's only the very rare occurrence that a very very hungry one will venture near humans. And it will be out of true desperation.
He is a clever chap that Ken. Bronze is not cheap to work with either.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Yes he is - an amazing talent!

The cat sculpture in incredible; the facial features on a big cat on the hunt are very captured as are the muscle groups.

As for the other sculpture (love the sky, by the way!), I assume that you will not be having it in the entrance to Croston Buckalew Towers, then?
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Isn't that cat just amazing! Such talent!!

Ummmm, no - that sculpture will not be anywhere near the Croston Buckalew Estate! smile

The mountain lion is a great sculpture and picture. Do you still have them around Flagstaff - I mean live ones of course smile
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Isn't it wonderful!
We do have them around Flagstaff.... on the Mountain. But they are incredibly shy and reclusive and can't stand even the sound of a human. So few people ever see them.
The cougar is awesome but the bottom does nothing for me.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: I feel exactly the same...
You have almost a multitude of interesting places to visit round your way, both of these were worth the visit. I see you have been having some extremely warm weather in Arizona during the last few days, certainly hotter than here, and it has been uncomfortable enough for us.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: We do, indeed, Brian! Whenever anyone says "There's nothing to do in Flagstaff"... I just think they're idiots who must not ever leave the house!
Yes - it's been hotter than normal, here. But there is truth to the "dry heat" mantra we have. It doesn't FEEL as bad as a humid heat - which is what you've been having!
You did a great job on this sculpture Ell', it is a lovely piece of work. As for the other place...I'm surprised they let us in....smile
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you - I felt it best to crop in tight... It is beautiful!

Well we won't ever be going back to that other place - that's for sure! smile
That's a fine work of art!
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: It truly is, Tom - all of his sculptures are amazing!
love the cat but If the lower thing is an example I would keep my money in my pocket grin
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: I'm with you on that, Bill!
