Salt Life

Sooooo.... this was weird...

We'd driven several miles on a very dry, dusty, dirt road.

And this showed up on the back window of our Nissan Rogue.

Now - you know, we've driven on a LOT of dirt roads...

And we'd never seen this before!  So bizarre!

After doing some research on the web, I finally found that this

is one of many logo / decals for a company called "Salt Life",

that sells high quality salt water sports gear.  Roxie Rogue was

pre owned, and the title information indicated she had been a

leased vehicle in Illinois... and California.  Someone obviously

thought this would be really cool - and I, actually, have to agree!

My Sincere apologies for my mix up yesterday...

I had a photo loaded that had Ginnie's Birthday wishes -

I have no idea how a Caturday photo from June 3rd got

loaded onto the 13th instead.  I have reset them...

I think I need more sleep....

Like a ghost writing on the wall. Isn't that fascinating. Great picture and story. The things you find on the internet.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: It was a little bit eerie... but too cool!! Thank you, Astrid!

Someone speaking to you from The Beyond, Elizabeth...
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Could be... it was a little eerie!
Stories like this make you go bump in the dark, Elizabeth. HA! (And thanks again for remembering me on my birthday yesterday, in spite of the shenanigans.)
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: smile Right?! It was so strange!
Well - you are certainly welcome, Ginnie!

Somebody obviously loved the vehicle..
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: I'm guessing so... and so do we!

How strange, Elizabeth - good you could research it, or you would be puzzling for the rest of your life!
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: It was / is, Lisl!! Yes - the web is a wonderous thing!

Well how odd is that! I assume that despite what initially appeared to have been a clean window perhaps still some of the original adhesive that had been used to attach the decal. No idea, though, why it not had appeared before!

Shutterchance occasionally just deletes photos that I have queued but I have yet to have it put one in random, though.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Isn't it!!! That can only be my guess... With all the dusty desert driving we do, it's amazing we'd never seen it before. And, of course, we've washed the car and windows many many times since her purchase three years ago... so if your very good theory is correct... it's amazing the adhesive is still sticky enough!
I'm sure I did something silly on ShutterChance, but can't honestly figure out how!
Where would we be without google? Or DuckDuckGo?
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: I know! They're so smart! smile
It is nice writing Elizabeth.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: It is a very pretty logo, isn't it!

Hah, if this happened to me, I would have suspected some miscreants. Yours is a better approach - keep your cool and figure it out.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: I just was so amazed... I just don't know how or when anyone would've done this! Very interesting!
That is really fascinating.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: I certainly thought so!
Must have kind of spooked you at the moment.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Certainly did!

The wonders of the internet in solving oddities smile
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Gotta love it!
I'd forgotten about this! It was most strange, good detective work Ell' !
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: I'm still baffled at how we'd never seen it before!
